About The Position

Endeavor Health is seeking a Laboratory Assistant II to join our team at Northwest Community Hospital. This part-time position requires working 20 hours a week, primarily from 10pm to 6am, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays. The role involves receiving and processing laboratory specimens, answering telephone inquiries, loading specimens on core laboratory analyzers, and delivering specimens to clinical laboratory sections. The Laboratory Assistant will also track specimens and attend to unreceived or processing logs.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Preferred experience in a hospital laboratory
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow procedures
• Good communication skills

Responsibilities

• Receive and centrifuge/aliquot/process laboratory specimens
• Answer telephone inquiries
• Load specimens on core laboratory analyzers
• Deliver specimens to clinical laboratory sections
• Track specimens and locate missing specimens
• Attend to unreceived/processing logs
