About The Position

Empirico, a clinical-stage biotechnology company that combines unmatched expertise in human genetics-driven target discovery with world-class capabilities in siRNA medicines, is seeking a laboratory assistant to help our bioassay team with routine laboratory operations. The successful applicant for this part-time, temporary position is expected to work approximately 10-15 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours depending on availability and need. Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include supporting the bioassay team with routine laboratory operations. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution
  • Enrolled in chemistry laboratory classes (experience performing routine laboratory assays and reagent preparation is a plus)
  • Applicants must have authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Process cells, tissues, and other biological samples for downstream analysis
  • Assist in reagent preparation and help maintain laboratory inventory
  • Assist with general lab operations including dishwashing, waste removal, and equipment upkeep
  • Ensure workspace cleanliness and compliance with basic laboratory safety protocols
