Requirements

• Education: H.S. diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience: 0-1 years
• Skills: Operation of routine animal care equipment (e.g., rack washer, mouse cages, and water bottles)
• Certifications: AALAS certification at ALAT level preferred

Responsibilities

• Animal Care
• Bedding and cage changes
• Animal health checks
• Equipment sanitization
• Waste disposal (including hazardous waste)
• Environmental Maintenance
• Monitor environment of animal facility
• Record animal care and animal facility/room information
• Facility Maintenance
• Filter Changing
• Room Sanitization
• Ensure adherence to SOPs
• Documentation and recordkeeping
• Assist in Equipment Calibrations
• Facility repairs and minor upgrades
• Prepare tissue samples for transport
• Assist in minor toxicology techniques
• Work in a team environment with a professional and positive attitude
• Other duties as needed
