We have a career growth opening for a talented Laboratory Analyst in our Inorganics dept. Our Laboratory Analysts are provided the opportunity to continuously learn, improve their skills and advance in their career with us. They work on state-of-the-art laboratory instrumentation and perform analyses using a variety of analytical techniques and methods. This position is also responsible for generating analytical data to support environmental compliance and decision making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science required.
  • Minimum 3 to 4 years of hands-on job experience in a professional analytical laboratory required (non-academic experience).
  • Prior experience with IC, SFA, FIA, Gravimetry, and/or BOD preferred.
  • Prior experience using Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word) as well as other Windows software.
  • Must be able to work first shift schedule Monday - Friday from 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM with the ability to support a monthly Sunday rotation and a holiday rotation.
  • Due to the on-site nature of this role, applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Reading, PA.

Responsibilities

  • Execute preparation and analysis of client and/or quality control samples while maintaining quality, turnaround time, and output standards as assigned by management.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of laboratory systems, equipment, instrumentation, and technology including basic regulatory programs and client specific needs relative to assigned analyses.
  • Execute analyses consistently across a range of technologies.
  • Assess out of control data or analytical systems and propose sound root causes based on experience.
  • Perform entry-level sample, method, instrument and troubleshooting under guidance.
  • Adhere to documentation requirements & perform corrective actions per established procedures.
  • Support and participate in internal and external quality control audits.
  • Own NCRs and sample investigation forms by completing forms in collaboration with quality, client services and management.
  • Submit quality control document or LIMS requests.
  • Provide sample investigation assessments and corrective action proposals for quality control.
