Administration of Environmental Quality Programs

At LCRA, we are seeking a laboratory analyst to join our team, that operates in a high-production facility, receiving water quality samples from across the state! As part of the LCRA laboratory team, you will prepare water samples for analysis by applying EPA and Standard Methods, assisting chemists, and performing basic laboratory tests. You will work directly with the Inorganic team daily, communicate any sample/production issues to senior staff and the supervisor, and at times cross-train and provide support in other areas of the laboratory. This role is an integral part of the laboratory operations and LCRA's mission: to enhance the quality of life of the Texans we serve through water stewardship, energy, and community service.   • Perform analytical methods by conducting sample preparation and analysis
  • Utilize Lab Information Management System to import data and document all analytical tasks
  • Assist with troubleshooting of instrumentation, equipment, and analytical methodologies to ensure production goals are met
  • Work primarily on independent tasks, performing similar duties every day, with keen attention to detail
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent GED
  • Prior laboratory support/analytical experience or relevant college education
