About The Position

KAM Consultants Corp. is seeking a Laboratory Analyst - Environmental PCM/TEM to manage day-to-day laboratory analytical operations, focusing on Asbestos and other environmental analyses. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality, ensuring accurate results and efficient workflow while maintaining client satisfaction.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Chemistry or related discipline (Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science/Engineering, Biochemistry, etc.)
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in Asbestos/Lead Analysis.
• Follow NYSDOH/NVLAP/AIHA codes, rules, methods, and regulations.
• Experience in operation of PCM/TEM instruments and other lab equipment.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent judgment.

Nice To Haves

• M.S. degree in Chemistry or related scientific disciplines.
• 5+ years working in a chemistry lab setting.
• 2+ years management experience.
• Experience with mold analysis and FAAS instrument.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee analyses on Asbestos, Lead, and PBCs.
• Collaborate with the lab manager to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
• Manage priority status fulfillment and scheduling workflow for air asbestos samples.
• Interact professionally with clients, addressing inquiries and concerns.
• Write, review, and revise reports and lab forms as needed.
• Adhere to internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and implement QA/QC protocols.
• Participate in proficiency tests and prepare for yearly inspections.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and hazardous waste disposal in accordance with EPA and NYS guidelines.
