About The Position

JLA International, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for Laboratory Analyst - Chemistry at its facility in Albany, GA. This position involves performing analysis on food, feeds, and grains, conducting quality control analysis in accordance with the laboratory quality control program, and preparing reagents as needed according to formulations in methods and instructions. The Laboratory Analyst will capture and record accurate and complete analytical information on approved forms, worksheets, and other appropriate documents, follow record management guidelines, and secure records when in possession. Additionally, the role includes carrying out sample management procedures from receiving through final disposal, assisting with general housekeeping of the laboratory, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A BS or BA in Chemistry or related field (required).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with data entry and computer applications.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with GC and HPLC testing of food matrices (preferred).
