About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laboratory Aide to join our Laboratory Services Team. The ideal candidate will support daily lab operations, ensure efficient workflow, and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked laboratory environment. The Laboratory Aide provides support for the department including ordering, receiving and distribution of laboratory materials. This position assists pathologists with autopsy procedures, prepares microbiological media and laboratory solutions and performs instrument maintenance and record keeping for specific instruments. This position has access to confidential financial and patient information. It does not have patient care or access to funds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Laboratory experience or materials management experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists the pathologist with autopsy procedures and morgue duties
• Maintains and distributes lab inventory to support daily operations
• Delivers lab materials to outside agencies efficiently and on time
• Follows all safety regulations to ensure a safe work environment
• Manages front desk responsibilities with professionalism, including phone etiquette, message handling, and general inquiries
