Job Summary: The incumbent is responsible for the preparation of clean glassware as per directions outlined in the department’s standard operating procedures. Additionally, the aide assists in laboratory maintenance and cleanliness.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience working in a laboratory setting with laboratory instruments is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work in a laboratory cleanroom setting
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures, standard test procedures and material safety data sheets.
  • Ability to read and write in English as well as to orally communicate in English.
  • FDA, cGMPs, and SOPs related to job descriptions.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing organization is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Washes and re-shelves laboratory glassware
  • Monitor and replace gas cylinders to support GC instrument.
  • Maintains cleanliness of laboratory equipment such as sonicators, refrigerators, freezers, dissolution baths, etc.
  • Monitors and empties laboratory solvent and solid waste disposal.
  • Stocks solvents in the warehouse and laboratory as needed.
  • Log samples for stability testing or other analytical testing.
  • Responsible for laboratory housekeeping and chemical inventory.
  • Daily pH meter and balance calibration
  • Maintain and monitor laboratory chart records
  • Monitor chemical expiration date
  • Receives and stores laboratory supplies.
  • Clerical responsibilities such as but not limited to preparing and filing sample folders.
  • Occasional assistance with laboratory calibrations or systems verification checks.
  • Works as a member of a team to achieve all outcomes
  • Operates in accordance with our Code of Conduct and Business Ethics, and all established regulatory, compliance and safety requirements
  • All other relevant duties as assigned
