WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR A skilled Labor Representative with experience in: Creative methods of addressing workplace issues to build power Collective Bargaining Compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting pertinent data Grievance and Arbitration Organizing campaigns We value a shared vision of nurses leading a national movement for health care justice. REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE The Labor Representative is responsible for: All matters related to collective bargaining, including organizing nurses in private and public employment Compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting pertinent data Assisting with contract negotiations Processing grievances and conducting arbitrations Representing nurses in employment-related problems Some travel will be required ADDITIONAL & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Insatiable work ethic and drive to create systemic change Demonstrated success assisting with contract negotiations and arbitrations Prior experience as a full-time Labor Representative a plus Effectiveness in organizing membership participation Developing rank and file leadership. Driver's license and insured car required.
