About The Position
Under general direction and supervision of the Warden, the Labor Relations Analyst investigates grievances and prepares recommended second level Employee Grievance responses for review, modifications and/or approval of the Warden or designee. The position also requires the incumbent to perform analytical staff work relating to arbitrations, labor negotiations and issues related to employee labor relations and other labor issues traditionally monitored by the Warden. The Labor Relations Analyst will also act as a liaison between management and labor unions. Typical duties will include: fact finding and grievance resolution duties under general direction/supervision of the Warden; consults with supervisors and managers (locally and at Headquarters) to identify and resolve problem areas in the area of Labor Relations; meets with job stewards and other union representatives and performs other analytical duties as required.
