This role is vital in ensuring that our patients receive high-quality care during one of the most critical times in their lives. The Technician not only provides direct support to patients at the bedside but also contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the labor and delivery unit along with some OR responsibilities. The schedule for this position is two 12-hour shifts per week 7p - 7:30a with every third weekend (Friday and Saturday nights) and rotating holidays required. The Labor & Delivery Technician reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critically ill patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. Reinforces teaching previously taught by RN.
