The LDR Surgical Technician functions under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include assisting the nursing staff in maintaining day-to-day management of supplies, equipment and inventory supplies. Supplies and preparation of specific equipment and rooms, which require aseptic techniques. The LDR technician also functions as scrub technician for Cesarean Sections under the direction of the RN Circulator. The LDR Surgical Technician provides direct patient care and performs selected therapeutic interventions and diagnostic procedures under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The patients consist of women during the perinatal phase and their neonates. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program (Certification Preferred)
  • CPR certification
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous health care experience preferred
