About The Position

Our client seeks a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Labor & Delivery (L&D) team for a full-time night (overnight) shift in a hospital setting. This role is ideal for a clinically strong, compassionate nurse who supports mothers and newborns during critical moments of care and is comfortable working overnight 12-hour shifts.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current California Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (required upon hire)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association (required upon hire)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics (required upon hire)
• Minimum 1 year of professional nursing experience
• Intrapartum care
• Postpartum care
• Fetal monitoring / Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
• Triage and maternal-fetal assessment
• Neonatal resuscitation (NRP)
• ACLS, BLS
• AWHONN standards and Advanced Fetal Monitoring
• Labor support, VBAC management, and postpartum hemorrhage management
• EMR documentation and clinical charting
• Emergency response, shoulder dystocia, and critical-thinking under pressure
• Patient education, breastfeeding support, and family-centered care
• Interdisciplinary communication and teamwork

Nice To Haves

• National certification in Labor and Delivery or a closely related specialty (preferred)
• Completion of the AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course (preferred)
• Recent experience in an acute care or hospital setting is advantageous
• Prior independent RN experience in Labor and Delivery (beyond orientation) is a plus
