This position is for an experienced Labor Delivery & Obstetrics Registered Nurse (RN) with shift accountability for delivering nursing care through the nursing process. The incumbent is responsible for applying competent clinical knowledge and skills, using independent nursing judgment for care provided by self and delegated healthcare providers to achieve quality patient care outcomes. The role involves performing duties within the scope of a Registered Nurse (RN) - Level I & II, demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide care relevant to the patient(s) under their care, and applying principles of growth and development over the life span. The incumbent must also possess the ability to assess and interpret patient data needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs. This role provides professional nursing care for patients in an inpatient hospital setting.
