About The Position

An established, high-acuity Women’s Services program in the Texas Medical Center area is seeking experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses to join a collaborative and patient-centered team. This is a Level IV maternal designated facility offering advanced care in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Unit Highlights
Level IV Maternal Designated Facility
12 Labor Beds
19 Antepartum Beds
4 Swing Beds
Approximately 400–450 deliveries per month
High-acuity patient population
Note: ADNs, new grads, and candidates without recent acute care L&D experience will not be considered.

Requirements

• Active Texas RN License or active compact RN license (clear of stipulations)
• BSN required
• 3–5 years recent acute care Labor & Delivery experience
• Full-time night shift availability (nights only)
• Updated resume with accurate job dates and unit details

Nice To Haves

• Extended Women’s Services experience
• Strong communication skills
• Clear alignment with night shift schedule preference

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care utilizing the nursing process
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Conduct assessments, assist with exams and treatments
• Develop and implement care plans, discharge planning, and patient education
• Maintain regulatory compliance and Board of Nursing standards
• Participate in quality improvement and patient experience initiatives
• Support mentoring, precepting, and professional development
