The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse is a highly skilled, compassionate, and autonomous Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) in a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) setting. As an L&D nurse in a rural community, you will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for mothers and newborns throughout the entire birthing process (antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum). This role requires a versatile clinician comfortable with a wide scope of practice, capable of managing low-volume, high-stakes scenarios with significant responsibility, and serving as a key liaison among patients, family, and our provider team. In addition to being an L&D nurse, you will hold the responsibility of an Acute Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN), who is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. Utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members under facility and departmental policies and following standards of professional nursing practice. As an Acute Care RN, you play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing Franklin County Medical Center's standards of care. Your primary focus will be to provide patient care and help manage patient outcomes. This position is deemed safety-sensitive and will adhere to all policies associated with this designation.
