About The Position

The Labor and Scheduling Analyst will work as part of a team based within the Financial Operations group at the CHS Corporate Office. This position's primary focus will center around the UKG Advanced Scheduler application, ensuring that CHS hospitals utilize and leverage UKG Advanced Scheduler to its full capabilities. UKG Advanced Scheduler is an automated staff scheduling application that is in use at all CHS Hospitals. This position will interact with both hospital and corporate leadership positions. This position will report to the Vice President, Labor Management. *Hybrid Schedule*

Requirements

  • Experience with UKG Advanced Scheduler preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc), SQL, and Google BigQuery
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist hospitals with maximizing their use of UKG Scheduler functions, such as self-scheduling, workload planner, shift generator, etc.
  • Review departmental staff schedules and develop strategies for improving scheduling practices and processes, such as overtime management, scheduling to FTE commitment, etc.
  • Create reports to track ROI metrics related to scheduling initiatives.
  • Ensure that departmental workload planners align to each unit's staffing grid.
  • Assist with other productivity projects as needed (target reviews, staffing grid reviews, etc).
  • Collaborate with other operational groups within CHS, such as nursing, imaging, lab, etc.
