About The Position

Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) - 3026527 We are seeking experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurses (RNs) for contract assignments at a hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit . These roles are available on day and night shifts and are ideal for L&D nurses with strong clinical skills seeking a contract or travel-style assignment .

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
• Experience managing high-acuity obstetric patients
• BLS (AHA required)
• ACLS and NRP required
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and patient advocacy skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective in urgent or emergent situations
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts per week
• Shifts Available: Days and Nights
• Employment Type: Contract (not a permanent full-time role)
• Travel nurses welcome – travel packages available for qualified candidates

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and laboring patients
• Manage and support high-acuity obstetric patients , including those with complications
• Assist with labor, vaginal delivery, cesarean sections, and recovery care
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, including interpretation of electronic fetal monitoring (EFM)
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiology, neonatology, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Administer medications and interventions per provider orders and facility protocols
• Maintain patient safety, infection prevention, and accurate documentation
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth process
