About The Position
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – 13 Week Contract We are seeking experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurses (RNs) for 13-week contract assignments at a hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit . These roles are available on day and night shifts and are ideal for L&D nurses with strong clinical skills seeking a contract or travel-style assignment . Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and laboring patients Manage and support high-acuity obstetric patients , including those with complications Assist with labor, vaginal delivery, cesarean sections, and recovery care Monitor maternal and fetal status, including interpretation of electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiology, neonatology, and interdisciplinary care teams Administer medications and interventions per provider orders and facility protocols Maintain patient safety, infection prevention, and accurate documentation Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth process
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Experience managing high-acuity obstetric patients
- BLS (AHA required)
- ACLS and NRP required
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and patient advocacy skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in urgent or emergent situations
