About The Position

The Label Machine Operator is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the labeler and x-ray machines. This position shall assure the efficient operation, labeling of all sauce products and operate in such a manner to maintain continuous operation without downtime. The position shall also be responsible for cleaning the work area, verification and inspection of product and materials and maintain simple records.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
  • Strong computer literacy skills. Ability to learn new job-related software.
  • Excellent attention to details and accuracy required.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Must be respectful and work well with all levels of personnel.
  • Great work attitude, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work overtime on short notice basis. Long-term, temporary assignments to any shift may be required to maintain manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work in high temperatures (hot or cold), working at heights and exposure to strong smells, dust, gases, fumes and chemical or require personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to use Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to pass a post offer pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment background check, and pre-employment physical.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with Mizkan America safety policies, OSHA regulations, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Perform manual tasks which support the continuous operation of the production lines. Such duties may include, but not be limited to: Sweeping, mopping and washing of floors and equipment.
  • Operation and simple maintenance of the labeler machine and related equipment.
  • Rotate duties with other workers at other locations in the plant as required.
  • Performs simple quality inspections of product, materials and ingredients to assure compliance to standards.
  • Maintain simple records and paperwork related to inventory and quality.
  • Performs all TPM activities required.
  • Perform changeovers as required.
  • Performs other duties required of the position or as directed.
