IntroductionJoin our team in Pasadena as a Tester within the Technical & EHSS division. This is a key role within the Manufacturing & Projects strategic business unit, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the quality and consistency of our plastic resin products. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to support laboratory operations through precise analytical testing and data management. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that all materials meet rigorous standards, thereby supporting innovation and excellence in production. Requirements

Associate degree in Chemistry, Laboratory Technician, or related technical field from an accredited college.
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision after initial on-the-job training
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high level of focus and attention to detail
Ability to operate, trouble-shoot and maintain highly specialized instruments/equipment and software
Excellent computer skills and a familiarity with standard Microsoft products
The ability to demonstrate Chevron Phillips Chemical Company’s Leadership Elements. Specifically, A high level of personal integrity, professionalism, and a team-oriented approach

Nice To Haves

At least 2 years of experience working in an analytical laboratory
Knowledge and experience with: Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Quality Management Systems, Good Documentation Practices, and Good Laboratory Practices

Responsibilities

Assists with sample preparation for all areas of the laboratory as required
Maintains accurate testing records and documentation.
Supports the ordering, receiving, and shipping of raw materials and samples
Assembles test materials and equipment
Performs laboratory testing under supervision
Follows all work instructions and work order protocols
Maintains working knowledge of analytical instrumentsIs responsible for general laboratory clean-up and other general lab duties as assigned
