Lab Test Systems Safety Engineer - (Mid-Level or Senior) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) Lab Test is seeking an experienced Lab Test System Safety Engineer who will lead exciting system safety activities of complex advanced aerospace programs in Berkeley, MO. The ideal candidate will perform safety risk management assessments of complex system designs throughout the life cycle of a product and program. This includes hazard identification, risk assessment, safety requirements development, mitigation verification, and compliance with applicable regulatory and company safety standards. This position supports senior leadership and individual contributors to help them understand and apply their daily responsibilities within Boeing’s Safety Management System (SMS). Focus will be on product and “test” service safety in highly complex and dynamic lab test environments including Structures, Electromagnetic, Polysonic Wind tunnel, Metrology, Environmental and Thermodynamics testing. This role requires; a systems thinking approach to mitigate risks along with a keen awareness and understanding of test hazards, the ability to work collaboratively across a broad section of program and test capabilities to support the test capabilities statement of work and the development of product and “test” service safety requirements in the design process and throughout BT&E’s Product Test Life Cycle (PTLC) and the lifecycle of a program. The selected candid will lead Safety Action Groups (SAGs), promote a positive safety culture, and actively apply elements associated with all four SMS pillars.
