About The Position

Lab Technologist The NIR Lab Technologist performs analyses and lab processes using NIR (Near Infrared) instrumentation and has growing knowledge of NIR technology. Manages Oilmeal Program activities. Supports our Feed Ingredient NIR Programs, by having the responsibility of organizing, testing, and communicating results for hundreds of feed ingredient samples weekly. Follows written procedures and provides expected documentation. Developing understanding and ability to build basic NIR calibration models and technical support to our NIR users. Shift: 1st Shift (Monday - Friday) The ideal candidate will have the following skills: · Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities · Ability to work as part of a team · Able to provide clear and accurate documentation and communication of tasks performed · Attention to detail · Able to work efficiently, while generating accurate results · Customer focused and understands the need to meet deadlines · Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Required Experience & Education: · High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years laboratory experience or post-secondary education in a related field. Preferred Experience & Education: · BA or BS degree in a science related field or Associates degree in a related technical field w/ 0-1 year work experience. · NIR instrumentation experience and/or knowledge of animal feed, feed ingredients or agriculture. Salary Range: $44,880 - $67,320. In most cases, candidates offered employment can expect to be hired at a pay rate near the middle of our salary ranges. About Land O'Lakes, Inc.
