About The Position

The Laboratory Technologist performs in-vitro analysis of biologic specimens according to established procedures for routine and specialized areas of the Laboratory. This individual also participates in supportive functions including but, not limited to quality control, instrument operation, troubleshooting, training and problem resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from an accredited institution.
• 60 semester hours or equivalent, including 24 semester hours of clinical laboratory science courses or 24 semester hours of science courses with specific chemistry and biology requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Major in biology, microbiology, or molecular biology.
• One or more years working in a laboratory.
• Previous experience with lab instrumentation and testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-vitro analysis of biologic specimens according to established procedures.
• Participate in quality control and instrument operation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems in laboratory processes.
• Train new staff and assist in laboratory functions.
