About The Position
The Lab Technician at DCL Corporation will work as part of a dedicated team of quality control technicians in a dynamic and fast-paced laboratory environment. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality of pigments used in various applications. The technician will be responsible for performing quality control testing on incoming samples, adhering to established testing procedures for each product. Attention to detail and time management skills are essential, as the technician will need to test multiple samples simultaneously while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing business demands. Accuracy in following written test procedures is critical to avoid the need for retesting, ensuring the reliability of results obtained. In addition to testing, the Lab Technician will review results for any anomalies before submitting them to the laboratory manager. The role also involves maintaining laboratory supplies, including inventory management and ordering stock as needed. The technician will be responsible for the upkeep of laboratory equipment, following manufacturer instructions, troubleshooting any breakdowns, and notifying the laboratory supervisor for necessary repairs. Daily calibration of instruments and maintaining calibration standards are also key responsibilities. The technician will participate in restocking supplies, maintain laboratory cleanliness, and ensure a safe working environment by reporting any discrepancies or hazards to the laboratory manager. Collaboration and communication with fellow laboratory employees are vital, as all team members must treat each other with dignity and respect. This position reports directly to the Laboratory Supervisor and is integral to the quality assurance processes within the company.
