About The Position

QC Microbiologist Lab Technician Technicians’ main responsibility is preparing media, cleaning and autoclave of equipment. Also, demonstrates the ability to maintain media levels, train on all job specific procedures and tasks. Perform tasks as assigned, lab cleanings, stay concurrent on all proficiency and SOP training. FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: 1. Behavior: Exhibit Team player qualities of cooperation and coordination; professional interaction in all business contacts, all day, every day. 2. Attendance: Present for work when scheduled is a mandatory function. 3. Safety: Compliance with all company safety rules, procedures, and guidelines is essential. 4. Actively participates in all safety programs. 5. Keeps inventory of Laboratory media. 6. Prepares media as needed 7. Reviews all laboratory policies, procedures, test methods. 8. Help maintain lab supplies.

Requirements

• Associates’ degree in Microbiology or related field
• College classes involving microbiology
• Good communication skills
• Technical writing, knowledge of Microbiology laboratory practices
