About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician to perform laboratory testing that delivers accurate, reliable data to support clinical and scientific initiatives. This role requires strict adherence to established methodologies, precise specimen preparation, and the operation and maintenance of standard laboratory equipment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced medical environment and demonstrates sound technical judgment, accountability, and a commitment to quality.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s degree in Life Sciences or Medical Technology required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a medical or laboratory setting.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in laboratory computer systems; familiarity with Athena, CPT, and ICD-10 coding is a plus.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and healthcare compliance standards.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Adaptable and solution-focused in handling unexpected operational challenges.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • familiarity with Athena, CPT, and ICD-10 coding is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory tests requiring precise measurements and strong attention to detail.
  • Prepare, process, and analyze specimens and samples in accordance with established protocols.
  • Construct, maintain, calibrate, and operate standard laboratory equipment including centrifuges, titrators, pipetting machines, and pH meters.
  • Accurately record and, when appropriate, assist in interpreting laboratory results for review by senior clinical staff.
  • Utilize laboratory information systems and related computer programs; perform mathematical calculations and prepare graphs as needed.
  • Maintain sterile and organized laboratory conditions in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure laboratory supplies are stocked and resources are available to support daily operations.
  • Collaborate effectively with clinical staff and colleagues across departments.
  • Communicate complex technical information clearly and professionally when required.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in supporting operational needs and adapting to daily workflow changes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
