Responsibilities

  • Consistently practice world-class safety standards daily.
  • Participate in monthly safety meetings with production teams or as required.
  • Attend quality stand-down meetings in response to quality concerns.
  • Provide coverage for cell operators during breaks, lunches, or short-term absences.
  • Utilize various precision gauging tools, including micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, height gauges, and CMM gauges, to inspect machined parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and print symbols accurately.
  • Perform routine maintenance on gauging tools.
  • Inspect materials, products, and work-in-progress to ensure compliance with specifications and assist in resolving production quality issues.
  • Monitor equipment functionality by reading dials and meters against specifications.
  • Test and measure finished products to verify operational accuracy and adherence to functional specifications.
  • Mark items for acceptance or rejection, record inspection data, and compare results with standards to ensure conformity.
  • Perform calculations and data analysis as needed (e.g., Gauge R&R).
  • Disassemble defective parts and components for detailed inspection.
  • Assist engineering with tool testing and validation efforts.
  • Document and develop clear instructions and specifications for the maintenance and use of gauges, parts, and equipment.
  • Use the Andon System to promptly notify the Lead Operator of any issues affecting SQTCM targets, and correctly apply the Quality Gate Escalation Process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
