The Lab Technician – Chemicals contributes to this mission by performing laboratory tests, following defined procedures, and supporting data accuracy while adhering to safety, quality, and compliance standards. Fueling Your Passion As a Lab Technician, you will support laboratory operations by performing routine and intermediate testing activities, following established processes, and applying analytical and problem‑solving skills. You will work closely with senior technicians and supervisors, escalating more complex issues as needed, while maintaining accurate records and a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Have a High School Diploma or equivalent, or specialized vocational training.
  • Have an associate degree with 3+ years of relevant laboratory experience, or
  • Have a University Degree (entry‑level candidates considered).
  • Have the ability to follow standardized laboratory procedures and testing methods.
  • Have intermediate analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Have basic computer skills for documentation and data entry.
  • Have the ability to work effectively in a team‑based laboratory environment.
  • Have the ability to work safely while using required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

  • Performing quantitative chemical measurements such as, but not limited to, pH, density, turbidity, viscosity, Karl Fischer, titrations.
  • Performing appropriate laboratory tests in accordance with established procedures and work instructions.
  • Following defined chemical processes and laboratory protocols to ensure accuracy and consistency of results.
  • Applying intermediate analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify and resolve routine testing issues.
  • Recording, reviewing, and maintaining accurate laboratory data and documentation.
  • Supporting sample preparation, handling, and basic equipment operation as required.
  • Escalating complex issues or deviations to the appropriate level for resolution.
  • Maintaining laboratory work areas, tools, and equipment in a clean and safe condition.
  • Conducting all activities in compliance with company Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE) policies, quality standards, and legal requirements.
