Who we are looking for: This position will carry out a variety of physical tasks to include properly performing, recording and reporting the results of basic laboratory procedures for soils (for compaction, particle size, quality, and chemical composition) using a variety of specialized equipment including nuclear soils density gauge, scales, meters, or other apparatus. What you’ll be doing: Performing basic laboratory tests on soil, masonry, asphalt, and concrete Preparing reports of results Maintaining a log of all samples Apply basic mathematical formulas and concepts to calculate quantities, estimate volumes, and inspect constructed work Entering test results into a web-based computer program Calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment Communicating with clients, contractors, engineers and technicians regarding construction laboratory testing Other duties as assigned
