About The Position

Primary Duties 1. Responsible for timely collection, preparation and analysis of product samples using established procedures. 2. Ensures product meets standards established for product. 3. Informs supervisor of all deficiencies in product. 4. Maintains written quality control records relating to quality. 5. Reinforce Sunsweet’s Quality, Food Safety and Food Defense requirements and maintain awareness of all food safety and product quality standards, to manufacture a wholesome and safe product for our customers. 6. Checks finished product weights and records results. 7. Checks container weights vs. specifications and records results. 8. Prepares, collects and tests samples of products following batching. 9. Performs daily sanitation inspections for designated areas. 10. Adjust, standardize, calibrate and operate laboratory equipment. 11. Prepares and standardizes reagents and refills containers in the lab. 12. Inspect equipment to be sure sanitation standards are met. 13. Assists in testing and operation of wastewater treatment facility. 14. Performs other duties relating to the overall effort as directed.

Requirements

Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
Tolerate extended periods of sitting at desk
Ambient noise is louder than a traditional office setting
Must have strong math skills and a high attention to details
