We also manufacture many specialty products to support validation and QC programs for analytical instruments, including a broad portfolio of fluorescent, count, size, and cell viability standards. This position is responsible for all aspects of the timely and quality-focused production of Bangs Laboratories’ products. In addition, this position may be involved in research and development of new products, or application support. Summary of Position: We seek a regular full-time Laboratory Technician who will support microsphere manufacturing by performing production processes, analytical testing, lab maintenance and other assigned laboratory tasks.

Requirements

Must possess a B.S. in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related scientific field and must posses sufficient hands-on lab experience to perform chemical analysis and interpret results.
Must be a self-motivated critical thinker, with the ability to execute technical tasks and projects with minimal supervision, work on multiple projects simultaneously, and communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Must have legal authorization to work in the US and will not require sponsorship.
Computer Skills Required: MS Office with proficiency in spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

Assists manufacturing processes under the guidance of a laboratory Scientist.
Operates analytical instruments to test products and processes.
Performs routine equipment monitoring and cleaning and keeps records according to SOPs.
Assists with manufacturing by recording and maintaining experimental details, test procedures, and results.
Maintains records and follows all general and laboratory SOPs.
Assist Lab Coordinator with lab logistics as requested
Performs laboratory maintenance by monitoring and ordering chemicals and lab supplies; cleaning glassware and other equipment; and keeping work surfaces neat and clean.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
