About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: The Lab Technician is responsible for all aspects of sampling and testing of raw material and finished products. REPORTS TO: Shipping & Receiving Manager SUPERVISES: N/A ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Sampling and testing incoming loads. Collect, inventory and test sample disks. Perform hydrogen tests on said materials. Operate equipment such as a spectrometer and lathe. Perform pot assays on received material. Responsible for maintaining of lab equipment. Report findings on appropriate parties in a timely manner. Regular and timely attendance is an expectation of the position. Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes.

Requirements

• Prior lab experience or technical aptitude preferred.
• Computer skills required (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Etc.)
• Effective communication skills
• Team player attitude
• Eagerness to learn and grow with the company.
• Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs.
• Physical Requirements: Exerting up to fifty (50) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to twenty-five (25) pounds of force frequently, and/or up to ten (10) pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Visual Acuity: ability to operate machinery and determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including making general observations of facilities.
• The worker is subject to environmental conditions. Some protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Also subject to dust, dirt, and extreme noise.
