About The Position

Extensive testing of physical and chemical properties of fiberglass material and yarns from producer.

Requirements

• Proficient in basic skills of reading, writing, and math.
• Must accurately follow written instructions and determine percents, and averages for samples.
• Must have at least a high school diploma or GED (This must be presented before hire. Transcripts will be accepted as well.)

Nice To Haves

• Previous manufacturing laboratory experience highly preferred.
• Must have experience looking for quality issues/defects.

Responsibilities

• Receives material from looms, finishing unit, Non-Woven processes, Supply Room, or grading areas.
• Prepares yarn or fabric samples for various tests.
• Tests samples per written instructions.
• Runs chemical analysis when required.
• Test pre-mixed finishes.
• Prepares log and work sheets suitable for keying.
• Advises Lab Manager, local Q. C., and production personnel of non-conforming materials.
• Prepares and tests laminate samples.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
