WSB, Inc. is seeking Construction Materials Lab Technician with a strong knowledge of the industry and test procedures to join our team. A qualified candidate must be able to work as part of a team, be reliable, have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. WSB is a full-service engineering firm, with well-established offices located in North Texas. WSB works with numerous clients that include state agencies, city, county governments, and private organizations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to prepare legible reports and documentation.
• Attention to detail.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

• TXAPA, NICET, ACI, Certs applicable to TxDOT testing (Preferred not required)

Responsibilities

• Prepare soil samples for testing according to applicable test procedures.
• Perform laboratory tests according to specs and standards such as but not limited to Atterberg limits, gradation analyses, proctors, sulfates, HMAC testing, concrete compressive strength testing.
• Record lab results.
• Maintain a clean work environment, and keep lab tools and equipment organized and ready for tests.
• Requires lifting and carrying materials and equipment up to 70 lbs.
• Consult with supervisor on test assignments or other related issues.
• Perform administrative duties such as filling up timesheets and expense reports.
