Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree is preferred
• 1+ years of laboratory experience in an industrial manufacturing environment; Chemical background is a plus
• Computer proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and ability to learn SAP
• Prior experience in, or knowledge of, ISO is preferred
• Strong math and organizational skills along with ability to meet deadlines; ability to read and interpret technical procedures
• Willing and able to work shifts and weekends
• Prior experience demonstrating effective management skills, knowledge of continuous manufacturing sector
• Statistical knowledge in chemistry & physics understanding
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently while also operating in a team environment with friendly, proactive and assertive nature
• High level of integrity motivation
• Must be punctual and able to meet deadlines
• Fluency in oral and written English
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety rules are followed – facilitated through monthly safety talks, daily tool box talks, safety inspections and random supervisor audits
• Ensures proper personal protective equipment is worn
• Ensure regulatory requirements are met with regards to chemical disposal, proper PPE when handling chemicals
• Daily product testing and verification of product inventory to meet customer requirements
• Fulfill customer requests – additional analysis, samples to be sent out
• Process Testing (ie., stone samples)
• Coordination of lab testing equipment maintenance and calibration. Calibration and cleaning of laboratory equipment
