The Ray lab, in The Department of Pediatrics, University of Virginia's (UVA) School of Medicine, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab and Research Technician to support our research team. This position is critical to the success of our lab, which relies heavily on rodent models (mice and rats) to advance our scientific investigations. The technician will be responsible for managing our rodent colonies, performing experimental procedures, and contributing to the overall maintenance and compliance of the lab. The laboratory explores molecular physiology and cellular mechanisms that precipitate pediatric renal diseases, with a focus on understanding the pathogenesis of nephrotic syndrome, capillary permeability, and angiogenesis in pediatric kidney diseases.
