About The Position

EAG Laboratories is seeking a Technician to join our Materials Characterization (MC) team located in Sunnyvale, CA. In this position, you will work closely with Ph.D. scientists on a daily basis and support the MC team by preparing samples for analyses. There is also the potential to learn instrument operation to aid in data acquisition. Considering local candidates only - relocation assistance will not be available for this role. Work Schedule: Mon to Fri, 8.30am-5.30pm.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or related field.
• Experience operating machinery such as drills, bandsaw, polishers or other basic machine shop tools.
• Experience with wet chemistry etching and/or mechanical polishing and cutting is preferred.
• Knowledgeable with optical microscopes is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills - understand detailed instructions and communicate effectively.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Computer literate, high level of accuracy, and detail oriented.
• Able to handle multiple functions at the same time and maintain good organizational skills.
