About The Position

The Lab Technician III position is a contract role focused on assisting in the development of skincare products for a leading Fortune 500 beauty company. The technician will work onsite in Clark, NJ, and will be responsible for various tasks related to formula development, including ordering raw materials, making batches, and monitoring stability to ensure product quality. This role requires collaboration with multiple teams and attention to detail in executing experiments and tracking results.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a science-related field (e.g., Chemistry).
• 0-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and handle multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in formula development of skincare products such as creams, lotions, serums, toners, and SPFs.
• Batch different formulation trials in the lab to evaluate texture, stability, and aesthetics.
• Set up and monitor stability tests to ensure the highest quality of products.
• Check formula specifications (color, odor, appearance, viscosity, pH) to ensure formula stability.
• Collaborate with support teams (analytical, microbiology, processing engineers) for formulation development and quality assurance.
• Order raw materials and keep track of experiments in a lab notebook.
• Perform and track stability on all formulas made.
• Communicate any stability issues to chemists or managers.
• Interface with support groups for testing requests via IT system.
