This will be a 12 hour A or B shift position. Hours are 6:00 am - 6:00 pm. Overview: The technician creates final contact lens package solutions mixes for various product lines ensuring precision and accuracy in measurements and limiting errors. This work is integral to manufacturing continuity and for the maintenance of existing product lines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience with GMP work preferred.
  • Candidate must be able to work and problem-solve independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to take on additional duties as required in the team environment.
  • Candidate must possess good time management skills, an excellent work ethic and be proactive.
  • Should have a working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to come in on “off” shift hours to support Plant needs.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in maintaining the Kanban inventory system for solutions needed in manufacturing with the fluctuations in production.
  • Perform analyses on solutions mixes to ensure a high level of quality.
  • Successfully complete, maintain and increase training such that cross training/extended knowledge base occurs.
  • Maintain a clean work area and properly dispose of waste in the area to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
  • Provide timely completion of duties to meet departmental and company goals.
