About The Position

This position will be expected to process and analyze samples collected from production sites with little to no supervision while ensuring that all programs and procedures are followed and implemented as described by company guidelines. To ensure success, the ideal candidate should display attention to detail and a desire to produce quality work. Top candidates must be able to maintain a high degree of quality while working efficiently and cost effectively. You will be creating relationships while you continue to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sufficient inventory of laboratory supplies to prevent work delays.
• Accurately process samples in a time efficient manner.
• Follow procedures as outlined in laboratory work instructions.
• Perform assigned routine laboratory tests with little to no supervision.
• Prepare media and solutions used within the laboratory.
• Participate in research trials and proficiency testing schemes under direct supervision.
• Enter samples and results into the laboratory data management system.
• Review completed testing and report results.
• Be willing to work weekend rotations, as necessary.
• Follow company policy and meet established requirements regarding biosecurity, animal welfare, safety, ISO 17025 accreditation, and drugs and alcohol.
• Attendance during normal working hours or assigned working schedule, as determined by Laboratory Management.
• Assist with training Laboratory Technician I’s with little to no supervision.
• Maintain good laboratory hygiene in regards to the work space, equipment, or tools utilized.
• Responsible for assisting in the monitoring of the quality of work performed as well as the quality of the product produced within the laboratory.
• May perform other duties as required by Laboratory Management.
