About The Position

Experienced Lab Technician that performs metallurgical evaluations, mechanical and chemical testing on externally threaded fasteners. Performs all tests and inspection functions at B&B Specialties/ GS Aerospace except for NDT inspections.

Requirements

Must have 5+ years of experience in the testing of aerospace threaded fasteners.
Skilled in metallurgical evaluations of fasteners with various materials.
Skilled in mechanical and chemical testing of external threaded fasteners.
Proficient in interpreting aerospace testing requirements.
Understands Nadcap material test lab requirements.
Experienced in fastener dimensional inspection.
Ability to analyze and accurately interpret & apply work instructions, procedures, customer drawings, specifications, and quality system practices required.
Proficient in proper use of calipers, micrometers, comparators, tri-rolls, ring gages, penetration gages etc.
Ability to accurately record measurements and results on corresponding documentation and computer applications.
Willing to work hard, positive attitude, willing to learn, team oriented, good work ethic and sense of urgency required.
Attention to detail with ability to think and act analytically and use mathematics to meet job requirements required.
Strong interpersonal skills including listening, speaking and writing
Effective team member with sense of urgency and ability to meet schedule commitments required.
Ability to work over-time as required, including weekends when needed.
