About The Position

PRI Construction Materials Technologies, LLC (PRI-CMT) is an independent, accredited testing laboratory specializing in the construction materials industry, recognized as both an ISO/IEC Standard 17025 testing laboratory and an ISO/IEC Standard 17020 inspection agency. The company aims to provide top-tier testing, inspection, and litigation support services, backed by a state-of-the-art facility, dedicated staff, and deep industry expertise covering the entire building envelope. In this position, the Lab Technician I will join a team responsible for completing assigned product testing, ranging from benchtop physical property testing (e.g., universal tester, water vapor transmission, radiative properties) to laboratory-scale mock-up performance testing (e.g., roof assemblies for fire/wind uplift resistance, wall assemblies for water resistance, floor assemblies for failure load).

Requirements

Minimum: High School Diploma / GED
Minimum: 1+ years of related experience (e.g. laboratory technician, construction worker, contractor, engineer, etc.)
Minimum: Able to speak and write English fluently
Minimum: Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including MS Excel and MS Word
Minimum: Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions, including Florida summer outside

Nice To Haves

Preferred: College Degree in Science, Engineering or Building Construction
Preferred: 3+ years of related experience (e.g. laboratory technician, construction worker, contractor, engineer, etc.)

Responsibilities

Complete assigned product testing, including benchtop physical property testing and laboratory scale mock-up performance testing
Maintain and calibrate test instruments, equipment, and apparatuses
Interact with clients on-site to witness testing
Perform day-to-day administrative tasks
