About The Position

As a Laboratory Technician I based in our Orange, CA Laboratory, you will be part of Montrose, a global environmental services provider. We offer environmental planning and permitting, measurement and analytical services, and environmental resiliency and sustainability solutions. Our team is dedicated to optimizing environmental resiliency and effectively fulfilling project requirements. You will be responsible for analyzing water and soil samples, maintaining laboratory cleanliness, and assisting in various laboratory tasks.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of analytical methods, analytical instruments, general lab practices, and lab safety.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good organizational skills and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze water and soil samples for alkalinity, conductivity (EC), pH, settlable solids, total dissolved solids (TDS), total suspended solids (TSS), and turbidity.
• Analyze water and soil samples for Oil & grease, cyanide, sulfides, BTU, corrosivity, Ferrous iron, Flash point, Ignitability, MBAS, Phenols, Ortho and total phosphates, Reactive Cyanide, Reactive Sulfide, Salinity.
• Analyze water and soil samples for Ammonia, BOD, COD, Hexavalent Chromium, and TOC.
• Clean laboratory glassware and maintain organized records of sample preparation and analysis.
• Maintain clean laboratory areas and assist in overhead projects designed to improve efficiency or accuracy of analyses.
• Assist Group Leaders and analysts in acquiring and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation.
• Comply with Enthalpy’s Quality Assurance Program and Health and Safety Plan.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director.
