Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Food manufacturing, laboratory, food testing, quality assurance, or related work experience required
- Familiarity with or ability to learn all applicable laboratory testing equipment
- Strong computer skills required - must be able to use Microsoft Outlook and Excel and have the ability to learn and operate internal computer systems
- Able to identify discrepancies, take appropriate steps to find solutions to problems, and implement solutions
- Ability to perform both basic and complex math calculations
- Able to follow laboratory procedures and state and federal regulations regarding the testing of applicable products
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills are a must
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Able to work independently with minimal direct supervision, but also collaborate with other team members and departments, foster good teamwork, and promptly share relevant information with others
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
Nice To Haves
- Degree or college coursework in food science, biological science, or related sciences preferred
- Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment such as SQF, state certification, etc.
