Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent or higher from a two-year college or technical school in science-related field.
  • 3- 5 years experience working in a laboratory environment and with laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to operate laboratory equipment safely.
  • Ability to effectively present information in small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and Lotus Notes and Power Point.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of technical procedures such as preparing film varnishes, performing routine mixing of resins and fillers and solvents, coating film materials and testing film material physical properties etc.
  • Perform data analysis, draw conclusions, and make experimental recommendations.
  • Conduct laboratory support functions such as stocking and distributing supplies and equipment.
  • Perform technical and record keeping in conformance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements.
  • Conduct analytical testing in support of projects and plan and execute project work in an organized and professional manner.
  • Suggest innovative routes or improvements in the formulation of material and new product development.
  • Helps develop new tests for materials performance as required.
