About The Position

Lab Technician Co-Op - Spring 2026 Here at Entegris, we use advanced science to enable technologies that transform the world, and we are seeking employees who have the drive to continue the mission. Our site in Franklin, MA is seeking a Lab Technician Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. The Lab Technician Co-Op will perform chemical testing and analysis, assists in problem solving and provides technical service to other Entegris functional groups, namely, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Entegris' business units; and contributes to the design of research projects through setting up tests sample preparation and analysis with supervision.

Requirements

  • The ability to work with tools, fixtures, and instrumentation is required. Ability to stand and conduct experiments; lifting of up to 20 pounds
  • Mix of office and lab environments. May require working manufacturing facility settings.
  • college or technical coursework; laboratory, product testing, manufacturing related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience; or strong mechanical or electrical aptitude.
  • Desired Major: Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program with a graduation date of May 2026 or later.
  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June.
  • Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in a co-op program
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: On site required; includes standing/sitting, walking through production plant. Additionally, adherence to wearing PPE (hard hat, glasses, safety shoes) as needed

Responsibilities

  • Analysis and Testing: Operates laboratory equipment and carries out and schedules routine testing, in support of manufacturing, engineering, and Entegris' business groups objectives with supervision. Provides accurate and timely information on which product development and product applications can be made. Provides daily calibration verifications and maintains small equipment and lab instrumentation. Develops documentation, testing and data analysis skills.
  • Support: Ensures technical information is accurate and distributed appropriately. Provides information regarding laboratory capabilities internally to Entegris, Franklin personnel. Develops documentation and analytical skills
  • Lean Sigma: Focuses on key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, cost effectiveness and product/system quality.
  • Overall Support and Quality Focus: Demonstrates a willingness to complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned in order to support the overall organization. Participates in Entegris' continuous quality improvement process and dedication to customer satisfaction. Monitors and maintains ISO quality standards and protocols.
