About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on assembly and disassembly, executing software commands, contributing to experimental design, and providing technical support to internal teams. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical aptitude, a problem-solving mindset, and a desire to learn and expand their skillset in a dynamic lab environment.

Requirements

  • Strong technical literacy and competency.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Willingness to learn new skills, particularly in specialized lab techniques, IT, and computer systems.
  • Experience in a lab environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and disassemble complex systems and equipment.
  • Perform in-depth mechanical troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Develop and document assembly and disassembly procedures.
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of experimental setups.
  • Demonstrate excellent skills in following and developing technical instructions.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams, assisting with experimental setup, execution, and analysis.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues related to lab equipment and processes.
  • Document technical findings and solutions.
  • Perform intermediate IT tasks, such as troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and network configuration.
  • Assist with setting up, maintaining, and optimizing computer equipment.
  • Utilize and expand advanced computer skills, including Linux command line, scripting, and data analysis tools.
  • Disassemble and reassemble computer hardware, displays, and specialized equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to plan and execute experiments, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new lab processes and procedures.
