About The Position

PacifiCorp is seeking a lab technician who will be responsible for collecting and analyzing water samples, prescribing chemical additions based on analysis, and performing required analyses on coal samples. Requirements

• Must have completed required courses in Chemistry and Mathematics with a 'C' grade or better.
• Prior experience in utility plant maintenance and instrumentation is helpful.
• Courses required include General Chemistry, General Chemistry Lab, and College Algebra.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze various water samples.
• Prescribe chemical additions to systems based on analysis and guidelines.
• Prepare and perform required analysis and calculations on coal samples.
• Operate, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on chemical analysis instrumentation.
• Prepare chemical mixtures for test applications.
• Perform non-water analysis on equipment in and out of service as required.
• Prepare and maintain necessary reports.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
